A Spooky White Wednesday

Today has been a very dreary, rainy day here in Alabama.  The tree line across the lake is obscured by fog,  making the water blend seamlessly into the sky - and it's all gray.  Right now, minutes before darkness falls, the trees on our side of the lake appear black against the smoky gray background. It's certainly has been an  Edgar Alan Poe kind of day -  hope it's not going to be a Hitchcock kind of night!

Okay, on the upside, it's time for White Wednesday and I will get to see lots of bright whites and shabby white goodness at Faded Charm. Things are looking up!!!

I recently bought this picture frame

I didn't like her color (gaudy gold)

 but, I loved her style

So, I painted her white
and added a vintage Valentine print
Looking good!

Found this sweet vintage bowl for less than $1.00!!!
REALLY

Lovin' the sea shells around the top and the tiny feet

This  little white bird endured the nasty outdoors today

Hark!  A wee bit of green still survives on this cold Winter day!

It's been nice getting my mind off the spookiness outside my windows,
but let me show you what I mean!

I am off to lock all the doors and board up the windows
before I start a new book tonight.

Thanks for stopping by!

 Rhonda

  4. What a great frame, Rhonda! Love the detailing! It sounds like a spooky kind of day your way. A thriller would not be my choice of book or movie on a night like that! Although, I think you'll be okay with the Berenstain Bears! : )

  15. Love your finds, the frame looks perfect white with the vintage Valentine print. I am inspired now to stop at Goodwill on my break this morning. A fun frame to paint and make a Valentine decoration will be my aim. I don't have much to decorate for Valentines day. Your dreary day pic looks a lot like my area.
