Bed Crowns & Canopies

When I was a little girl I wanted a canopy bed...one all to myself!! I didn't want to share it with anyone. (I love you, sister!!!) I never got my wish, but all the precious memories my sister and I made for the 18 years that we shared a bedroom are worth a lot more than fancy beds.

Well, I am all grown up, and then some! I could totally have a canopy bed now. It's funny how we change, isn't it? I don't think I want one any more. But, I still enjoy thinking about how it might have looked if my wish had come true. Here are a few beautiful canopy beds, bed crowns (I do love these), and painted beds from "The Well Appointed House".

I don't get the little bitty bedside lamps, and I personally would not have chosen this bed crown for this gorgeous painted headboard. I still like the romantic feel.

A mirrored crown from "Horchow". I'm not sure how the modern shape of the crown and the romantic lace work together???? Something bothers me just a tad. Is it just me?
