I have a serious crush on old bottles
Often, the bottles are missing their original lids
I love coming up with creative toppers
Left – a faux mercury glass Christmas bulb (Alex’s tutorial here)
This is an inexpensive acrylic cabinet knob
Another acrylic knob
I love using vintage doorknobs in the large bottles
This cork is seriously weathered
The lid in the center has a beautiful blue patina that sadly doesn’t show here
The knob on the left is from Hobby Lobby- it just looks old
*** I love this look ***
Beautiful old dusty bottles - still worthy of being displayed on a silver tray

what a gorgeous collection. i love how you left them all rusty...worn and weathered. they all look so lovely on that silver-plated tray. j'adore how you used old doorknobs as "topers." TFS! :)
ReplyDeleteThis gives me great ideas for what to do with my old bottles now! I dig them up all over our farm.
ReplyDeletevery cool
ReplyDeleteYou would love it here, there is a place out in the desert where these old bottles are piled as far as the eye can see, and they are free for the takin'
You just have to get past the spiders, snakes and scorpions that live in the desert, LOL

Wow you have a wonderful collection of bottles. I love how you have them displayed on a silver tray. I have many but have them scattered here and there. I think I should put them together for a more dynamic display. ~~Sherry~~
