Whites

I was going to get some pictures of white things around the house for White Wednesday, but my camera is currently out with the family taking photographs at the homecoming of the Auburn football team, aka National Champions!!!   Woo-Hoo!   War Eagle to all of you tiger fans out there.  It’s great to be an Auburn Tiger!

So, since I can’t photograph white things around the house,  I went back to my albums and decided to use some photos of  rooms that have lots of white.

These first pictures are Caroline’s room aka guest room since she is away at school

The headboard began as an unfinished over mantle.

I cut it down,  gave it a Swedish-y finish

and made a padded insert using white linen

A year later, I still haven’t bought vintage hats to put on the chippy white  coat rack above the bed

I adore white shabby linens!

Before I white washed this frame,  it was a very gaudy gold

The next photographs are of Alex and Mason’s room

The vintage coat rack was bright green with painted roses.

I gave it a quick white finish and  Alex covered the wooden letters in moss.

Alex did an incredible job making this their room.
