I love the traditional colors of red and green for Christmas. I also love pretty metallics in gold, silver, pearl, and bronze. I even like color combinations like red and lime, aqua and silver, and hot pink and bright orange! This year, I am gravitating toward softer colors like creams, white, pinks…you know, the romantic ones!!
This Infant of Prague is a recent vintage purchase
I love it with the framed Religious art in the same tones.
I have it on my breakfront in the breakfast room
It is actually a bottle – the head comes off and has a tiny cork under the collar
I am one of the zillion bloggers who made a coffee filter wreath…don’t have a clue where to use it!
These cute snowy Santas were 1/2 price purchases last year
A blast from the past!
Caro and her Jackson MS friends at her Christmas tea party
Looks like I was into golds that year!
I even mixed in unusual elements this year – a Christmas horse???
White bottle brush wreaths, little white birds, and white berries are part of the mantel-scape this year
This is from last year when the walls were still gold and…
I DO NOT MISS THEM!
Rhonda
Hey Rhonda, I love it all! My husband wants to know why I love Icons, crosses, etc. since we don't attend a church regularly...(I am part Cherokee, and I am "spiritual"...I was raised a Christian...that said, I think it's the intrinsic beauty and mystery of it all...
ReplyDeleteAnd, I love bottle brush wreaths..ha!
I am going for the fan tomorrow..it's mine, all mine!
Rhonda, Everything is gorgeous! I adore the religious art and the bottle. Your bottle brush trees and wreaths are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays,

Your Infant Of Prague is beautiful... I have a collection of them and so I'm very fond of this rendition of Spiritual Art.

Everything looks so pretty! The horse is very whimsical which is perfect for Christmas. I think your coffee filter wreath would look pretty hanging in front of a mirror.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a style~ although I had to laugh at the comment about the coffee filter wreath.
Merry Christmas!
Rhonda- What a beautiful post. I think you have a real "find" there with your Infant of Prague. I think it was used to carry Holy Water from place to place...and I don't think there were many of these that survived.
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is beautiful too. Hugs-Diana

Hello Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are gorgeous! I love your Infant of Prague! I wish I had more of the bottle brush trees and wreaths but somehow over the years a few of mine have been lost... I also love the carousel horse.

ReplyDeleteRhonda,
ReplyDeleteYour post is just beautiful. I had heard for many years from your sister Jan about how talented you are in decorating. Your home is just lovely. I have always been fan of all the traditional Christmas colors of reds and greens. You have given me new inspirations for adding new colors to my Christmas Decor. I am so excited that I happened to find your blog!
I love your infant of Prague. I too like "religious art." So beautiful. Your mantel is absolutely fabulous!
ReplyDeleteRhonda,
ReplyDeleteYour sweet words of understanding and encouragement touched my heart. Thank you for your friendship.
I love all your Christmas decor. The wreaths -- bottle brush and the one you made with coffee filters are lovely. The framed religious art and Infant of Prague are beautiful. The palest of pinks, silver, whites and creams are my colors as well. I am so behind. I missed all the link parties. I hope to have all my decorating done this weekend.
Your Friend,
Deborah
I had to laugh when you said you were not missing your gold walls...I tell my husband that all the time when I have another project in the works...after it is done I always look at him and say I don't miss it! LOL Everything is GORGEOUS!!! I adore your mantel! It is simply stunning! And I am wild about your Christmas horse!!
