My Blue Creek Home blog isn’t going to turn into a baby blog..I promise! Well, I think I promise. Who knows what will happen when the little rascal gets here! Bear with me as I help Alex get ready for baby!
I have been making a few things for baby Mason’s room. His nursery walls are white, the furniture is dark wood, and the bedding is light blue and mint green with rabbits. The curtains are white panels. I am going to make a valance using a Beatrix Potter print.
Every baby needs a sweet lamp next to their bed, but Alex couldn’t find one that she liked that was in her budget. When I got home, I went on a shopping trip to the basement and found a small lamp that I bought at an antique mall years ago. I felt like it would be perfect. It didn’t have a shade, so I purchased a plain one at Target and dressed it up to match Mason’s room.
I think it will work just fine.
I got this pom pom trim at Hobby Lobby.
The colors in the ribbon are the exact colors in his room.
It looks odd in my breakfast room, so….
I photographed it in the guest room. That’s better!
We will see how it looks in his room when I go back. I have a few more bases that may work better. But, it was fun putting this one together.
Don’t forget to sign up for my CSN give-away for a chance to win one of these!!!
