Christmas Decor On The Watchmaker's Cabinet & A Winner

Hi holiday friends!

First, I want to thank Shabby Apple for their generous giveaway here at Blue Creek Home.  Congratulations goes to Amy @ T.J. And Amy.  Have fun shopping Amy!!!

I had such fun decorating the old watch maker's cabinet that I recently won from Ebay.  I am still crazy over this purchase.  You can read about her makeover here.

I have to admit that I am not fond of the smell of paper whites
but,  I love how they look so
I put some in a shallow French terracotta bow
We will just have to put a clothespin on our
noses when they bloom!

This is the deer head from Horchow
He, well maybe she, got some Christmas jewelry

Aren't the little beads on the stars tips sweet
and who doesn't love a sweet French sentiment?

The star was part of a giveaway that
I won a couple of years ago from Deborah at
I think Deborah is one of the best writers in blogland
I enjoy reading about life at the gorgeous 1880's Victorian
farm house that she and her husband have lovingly restored

This year, I made a few Christmas pinwheel ornaments
Here I used French script for the fan
In the center,  I used a clock face
and placed a rhinestone in the center
German glass glitter outlines everything

For this one, I used an old world map for
the fan and a pretty Victorian lady in the center

T.J. Maxx always has a good selection of
these glitter covered vintage style figurines

Do you love bottle brush trees like I do?
A sacred heart hangs on an old zinc urn in the background

I love vintage religious icons
This little one is propped
against old leather bound books
Behind the little silver doors is a print of
Mother Mary with baby Jesus with angels around them

  6. Rhonda,
Your vignettes are always beautiful. I adore the mounted deer head and would be tempted to purchase a red 'clown nose' from Dollar Tree and pop it on! The vintage icon frame and sacred heart are priceless. I have that same snowman in my collection. The pinwheel ornaments you created are lovely and compliment your star.
Thank you for the shout out. You are too kind. Your words made my day.
    Your Friend,
    Deborah
