Hello Fall Friends
Almost every blog I visited today is talking about the cooler weather and the fact that fall is slowly slipping in and pushing out the long, hot summer. "With this year's record-breaking heat and drought, it's no surprise that this summer was the third-hottest on record for the Lower 48 states" says weather.com.
I am jumping on the 'I love fall' bandwagon...I have been waiting for this since the first day of summer!!! With wide open arms, I welcome our current, midday temperature of 80 degrees!!!

Baskets remind me of fall
So today...
I am sharing my new find.
The booth next to mine at Old Bank Antiques
had this lovely cotton basket
I have been drooling over it for a while!
Well, as luck would have it, this vendor is leaving
I got it 50% off!!!! Woo Hoo!!!
Don't you love a hand woven oak basket ?
I am using it on top of the open bookcase in the den
It is to wide to sit on it's bottom
so I flipped it on it's side
I put the wire basket full of dried hydrangeas inside
I like it!
It fills in some of the empty space on the top...

ReplyDeleteNice look, Rhonda! I have the same wire basket! : ) I use mine in our bathroom to hold toilet paper. I think hydrangeas look much nicer.
