Handmade Runner With Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Design

Add textile medium to Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Duck Egg

Copy image and cut out with exacto knife

For this project I used the part that I cut out to do a positive stencil
I used a glue stick to keep the image in place on my canvas

Using a damp seasponge, dab the paint around the image being very
careful to apply it straight down to keep the image from shifting

Lift the image carefully

~Fast forward~
Add fabric to each end (I used fabric the color of duck egg),
line it with plain canvas, add a ruffle on each end

Top stitch the seam on each side with a decorative stitch
You can see it here on the right side

Add vintage lace to the ruffle on the solid side to dress it up

Now, you have a reversible runner

I like this side as much as the painted side

  3. Hi Rhonda, The runner is beautiful and I also like both sides.

The snake...I crossed the street and made my husband take the picture! I hate them too.
