After our wonderful five day, family girl’s, beach trip ended, I rode back to Clearwater Florida with my niece. I had four full days to help her complete some make-overs that had been dragging on for months.
The first thing I thought of was Annie Sloan’s chalk paint to make my furniture finishing go fast and smooth.
We found the Florida stockist for Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint and it was only thirty minutes away in Tampa. With the help of On Star, we had no trouble finding it.
I admit, my heart was beating wildly as I entered the shop.
(Don’t skip the last part of this post – there is a clue to a surprise that is coming soon.)
Join me on a tour of the teaching facility for
Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint

There must be magic behind such an interesting old door!!
This is the amazing staff at Robyn Story Designs
Robyn is on the far right standing next to Lori
I didn’t meet the fellow on the far left, but I did meet Scott
Chalk paint magic happens here
If I lived a little closer, the seat on the left would be perfect for me
Chalk paints in every color – I want one of each!!!!
ARE YOU READY FOR THIS?????
BEFORE:
A beautiful, but tired, chair needs a quick makeover
AFTER:
Even the velvet loved the new chalk paint finish -- AMAZING!!!
Here is a closer view of the painted chair seatlook at the great texture on the seat’s back
I see Graphite, Old White, and I think a touch of Emperor’s Silk
in this close up of the trim on the chair
The classroom chairs are beautiful wearing Annie Sloan in Old White

I was genuinely fulfilled as the tour of the classroom, offices, the holding room (for unbelievably wonderful furniture waiting for chalk paint) and the work room ended.
I thought I would make a quick purchase and be on my merry way…
BUT…
Robyn asked if we would like to walk across the drive to see their showroom.
You mean there’s more????
The impressive showroom was tucked in right around the corner
Behind the black picket fence, a quaint, shady courtyard
welcomed us with many beautiful things…
like this…
and this…
and this!
My niece and I had a wonderful time. We had latte’s when we arrived and cheese and crackers, and cake at noon. Thanks Robyn and Lori for making us feel so welcome.
I am going to show you all of the photos of the gorgeous showroom in a few days so stay tuned!!!
Now, I invite you to visit Robyn’s new blog at:

THAT. IS. AMAZING! It's like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory for decorating bloggers, Rhonda! Those chairs are fantastic. Oh my gosh, that must be so much fun. I don't even have a stockist here in New York; I think the closest place is in New Jersey. I did finally get my Old White today in the mail, so I'm really looking forward to using it now!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh what a total blast to have visited the shop!!
