Just a Reminder: There is still time to link your special treasures to Treasure Hunt Thursday. Last week was the first party and I had twice as many attendees…I have a feeling it has something to do with the giveaway. Everyone loves a giveaway.
Speaking of giveaways…Blue Creek Home is about to celebrate her 2nd birthday so watch for another one.

Old lace and linens are always on my “look for” list when I am out searching for treasures. I have gotten good at getting out ‘vintage soil’ and if it fails, I can always use them to create something else. So, I am looking for any vintage lace, it doesn’t have to be perfect.
I lucked out with this beautiful panel hanging on my powder room window.
I ordered it to use over a white fabric shower curtain in our master bathroom.
When it arrived, it was really wide, but really short.
The seller had swapped the measurements on the auction!
She offered to credit me almost half the cost if I would keep it.
Of course, I did because it is a beautiful panel
It is very fine and I couldn’t find one flaw
And I just love the embroidered scallops on the bottom

Very pretty, Rhonda! I love the way you hung it, too. I like to have a little softness at all my windows, and something light and airy like lace is the perfect choice for a bathroom.
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty! I'm looking for some vintage lace panels right now to cover my ugly plastic apartment blinds!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I didn't link up to your party! I think we get in a routine with our usual ones so the new ones take a while to remember!
Your vintage lace curtains are just gorgeous. You do such amazing things! And handsome Mason is 1 year old! Happy Birthday to such beautiful little man, he's going to be a heart throb, for sure!
ReplyDeleteRhonda, I also love vintage lace. Your lace curtain is beautiful.

So pretty, and it's so hard to find lace that's in good condition. Gorgeous scallops, glad you could find a way to use them. Thanks for linking up Rhonda! xoxo

Those are gorgeous! Good, old lace curtain panels are hard to find. For me, anyway. All I ever see is modern, synthetics. They just don't have that extra... specialness... to them.
ReplyDelete(I forgot to add my Thursday thrifties to your linky. I'll try to do better next week.)
You've got to love how that turned out :) Very pretty where you put it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful piece Rhonda, and I love the way you hung it...it looks timeless and so elegant!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comments...I better toughen up or I will never make it to graduation!
Have a great weekend...
Lou Cinda
