Vintage Pretties

My computer was showing signs of a complete breakdown.  On Tuesday of last week, I made the decision to take it to the 'computer guy' to have it cleaned up. I also bought an external hard drive and had them copy every photo (most of them on Picasa) onto it.  When I got the computer back, I permanently deleted most of them.  Now, I have Picasa storage and the annoying 'you're out of space' message isn't popping up every time I load new pictures!

I have to say that I enjoyed being 'computerless' for a while!!!  Sometimes, I feel like I am tied to this thing - like I don't really have a choice and I didn't like that feeling.

Now, that I have had a mini vacation, I am back on track.  I got nothing done in my dining room during the break.  I had all of this extra time, and I didn't accomplish much. What's up with that?

I did make some decisions about the dining room makeover though.  I have decided to lose the stencil - brushed paint on it already just so I couldn't change my mind. I will be repainting the whole room which means I will have to take down the curtains and all of the mirrors and artwork - not looking forward to that at all!

I was finally able to add some things to my bare bones Etsy shop tonight now that the computer is back.  I also sent a load of things to the antique mall earlier today.

It doesn't get much sweeter than this!
The little girl who wore this lovely handmade
slip was probably unhappy...it's a bit scratchy!!!

Maybe the pretty hand stitching made up for the wool fabric!

How sweet is this rusty wire bunny rabbit???
I have used this small vintage oil painting in tablescapes many times
It is time for someone else to enjoy it.

Go by Blue Creek Home...The Shop.  I listed a few more things and I am planning to add more items over the weekend.

Since Debra shared so many cute cloches for Vintage Inspiration Friday,
I thought I would show a sneak preview of  some of my Easter decorations.

  5. Hi Rhonda...

Ohhh nooo...so sorry to hear that you have been having computer issues! Modern technology is great...when it works! Hehe! My friend, I know the feeling...sometimes I feel like I am "hog-tied" to this thing. Not good! But most of the time it is such a joy to me...with my health issues, I don't always have the energy to do much...but sit! So the computer keeps me company.

Anyway, what sweet little treasure you had to share with us today. Isn't that little girl's slip amazing? I think they call that pretty stitch the is going around the neckline a "blanket" stitch. Ohhh...and I love, love, LOVE the wire bunny! That is just too cute! I could see sooo many things done with it! Well dear friend, just thought that I would stop in to say hello! It has been awhile! Glad to hear that they got your computer up and running for you again. Can't wait to see your dining room!

    Warmest spring wishes,

Glad to hear you got your computer fixed before it completely went down and an external hard drive is an excellent thing to have.
