Giving Thanks Challenge – Day One

I consider the first day of November to be the official start of the holidays. It is so easy to get caught up in the planning, the decorating, the cooking, and the shopping.  Let’s have fun but let’s also remember to pause and be thankful every single day through this holiday season.

Leah from Iowa @ South Breeze Farm is hosting a wonderful Linky party.  You don’t have to go to yard sales or to your local Goodwill to hunt for bargains. You don’t have to do a tutorial or a before and after. No sewing, gluing, or painting is involved with this one.

The Giving Thanks Challenge starts today. You can read the details here.  Please join me in celebrating Thanksgiving all month long. All you need is a couple of minutes and a thankful heart.  You will find my list on my sidebar directly under the Giving Thanks Challenge party button.

The very first thing I want to lift up and celebrate is the precious gift of salvation.  It's not about religion, it isn’t something you can earn, it's about a personal relationship with Christ.  Only in Him will you find the freedom and the love and the answers you are looking for.

Ephesians 1:  8 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  9 - Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 10:  9- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 - For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 - For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed

*Verses taken from the King James Bible*

What are you thankful for today?  Join the party and start your own list of blessings!!!
