I am afraid I started too many projects at one time. Not real smart, but I know that I will be glad once they get finished.
I did complete one makeover recently.
This table was purchased from an antique mall a couple of years ago, but it isn’t old.
I fell in love with the shape of the piece more than the color.
The original blue was pretty but it just wasn’t feeling right in the den.
(I didn’t have the heart to make Ginger move to take this picture!)
I usually like a bit of gold on trim, but this looked cheap to me.
The new cream finish looks good with the stools new cover.
No more cheap looking gold!
In fact, I think the details show up better now.
I love egg and dart trim.
Another successful makeover!
I am super close to sharing the bed crown make over. It was a tough job.
The backsplash hasn’t been started, but it is definitely getting updated before Thanksgiving.

ReplyDeleteI love the size of the table too. You did a beautiful job. My sister and I have both taken on too many projects too. I keep telling her not to panic. Set a goal of Thanksgiving or Christmas to be finished. Look at the long term. I've decided my dogs can be in my blog pictures. Ginger looks so peacful.
