It seems as though the weekend comes around faster since I joined the Pink Saturday party group. If you aren’t participating, you should join me at Beverly’s of “How Sweet The Sound” to see lots of pretty pink things.
We are indoors for this first pink photo.
This is the side of a chippy planter box that I found at an antique mall last year.
I like it a LOT!!!
It is still sitting empty in the guest room – I need to put a pink plant in it, huh?
The rest of my Pink Saturday is outdoors. Grab your mosquito repellant and sun screen.
It is major hot here! And, it is very human (aka humid)!!! A childhood word from Alex!
We planted 12 pink crepe myrtle shrubs on the lower part of our backyard.
We call it the lower 40 even though we have less than 1 acre!!
I took these photographs from the second level of the house.
It is so nice to look out my bedroom window and see all of this pretty pink!
We had dinner last night in Columbus, Georgia.
These beautiful roses were in front of the restaurant.
I don’t have any roses here at Blue Creek Home.
I wonder if deer will eat roses?
Who am I kidding??? These deer eat everything!!!
Happy Pink Saturday and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Rhonda

Yes, they eat roses. And pretty much everything else- apparently they haven't read the same books as our nursery man about "deer- resistant" plants :( Just lovely!

The crepe myrtles are beautiful! I know what you mean about the heat, we're sweltering in Alabama already too, but the crepes are loving it. Happy Pink Saturday!

Good Morning, Rhonda! I love your pinks, and that planter is SO neat! I love the colors and the triangles. I can see why that came home with you. And yes, deer love plants. Not sure about roses, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday...

Yep Rhonda, deer eat roses! Those pesky varmits!
ReplyDeleteI do not have one single rose left on my bushes, not one!
I love your crepe myrtles. I don't think they eat those.
Lovely post. Love that shabby planter too.

How do you get your crepe myrtles to bloom? ours are NOT!! I noticed in our town we have some planted on each side of a sidewalk and one side is in full bloom and the other side nothing!
ReplyDeletemy crepe myrtles never are this pretty...
