The bad news first:
I just got back from making the rounds to every drug store (2) and every gift shop (5) and even a couple of gas stations (3) looking for postcards. I even went to Fred’s and Dollar General!!! No one in my little town has postcards. I was looking for postcards of local attractions, but I couldn’t find any postcards!!!
Just in case you are wondering, I need them for the postcard exchange that I talked about on my last post. It looks like me and my cameral will just have to go out and find some sights so I can produce my own postcards!!!!
If any of you have already exchanged mailing addresses with me, I promise you have one coming.
Now the good news:
While I was searching for the postcards I did find something that I have been looking for!!!
My very own copy to drool over all weekend!!!! Now that’s good news!
Of course I am talking about “Flea Market Style” – thought I would check out “Country Almanac” too.
This is something else that I have to get serious about this week end!
So much pretty fabric…so little time!
I got the adorable bird’s nest at one of the 5 gift shops ((I can’t boast about cheap deals from this place))- but, I couldn’t come home empty handed!!!
Also, here is a peek at some of the things that I’m working on for the Etsy shop. That’s my first Easter pillow.
I love the way the Eiffel turned out. I still need to write ‘sweet nothings’ in French on it!
I think this French carriage transfer is so fun!! I added a tiny gold bead for the door handle and little black snaps on the wheels.
I am still having fun with my “BCH Original” pillows!!!
Have a safe and fun week end!
Rhonda

Maybe a more "touristy" area would have the postcards, Rhonda. Love the Bunny image you are showing.
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful goodies, love all the fabric stacked up. That is odd you couldn't find a postcard, always fun to make your own though.
ReplyDeleteDebby
My Goodness! I cannot wait to see what you create with all that beautiful material this weekend!!!! Not much luck on postcards here either. =(
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem when my grandson ask me to do a Flat Stanley. I went to a truck stop and found some but I felt way out of my element going in there!
ReplyDeleteI awarded you a Kreativ Blogger award! Check it out here!

I am buying a bunch of postcards! There are several Colorado shops on the Mall downtown so I know living in the big city has a few advantages. But I noticed this summer when we were in Gunnison visiting my daughter Hannah's sweetie at college the only postcards I could find were of the Creste Butte ski area a few miles from Gunnison! I will exchange addresses with you if you want. I also love all your cool stuff today.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderfully creative weekend. Such Lovely things to work with. I can't wait to see what you come up with next! You always make such Beautiful things
ReplyDeleteOh my, that stack of fabric is divine! Your pillows are beautiful. So glad I stopped by from One Cheap B*tch! :)
ReplyDeleteRhonda, do you have a post on the fabric transfers? I'd really like to try this. Thanks, Kim

ReplyDeleteBonjour Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll find something - as creative as you are, I bet you could whip up one of your own postcards in no time at all.
Love the sweet carriage pillow, and congratulations on your Etsy shop feature! You deserve the recognition as hard as you've been working!
