Our Christmas ‘Activities!

This Nativity party is near and dear to my heart.  After all, the birth of our precious Savior is the reason that we celebrate.
My oldest daughter, Alex, called them “Activity Scenes” when she was young.  So, of course, that is what we call them today!
Here are a few of our ‘Activity’ Scenes:

This Nativity is one that I made.  It is really special to me.

A tiny cloche and Nativity.

This hand painted ornament is hanging on the ceiling fan chain on our screened porch.

This nativity and crèche is the first one that Al and I purchased after we were married.
It’s the ‘Activity that Alex would beg us to get out every Christmas.
It looks a lot like Fontanini, but it isn’t.

  1. Father, help us to be still enough to hear what the shepherds heard---the Good News that you have come to save us from our sins. Help us to feel the urgency that the shepherds felt to share the angels' message with others who do not know or understand---SALVATION IS TO ALL PEOPLE, in the Name of Jesus Christ, our Savior! Amen...The Fourth Sister

  3. Rhonda I love the nativity set you made! I would love to make a similar set for us to enjoy with our grandchildren. Would you consider a post with some instructions or a bit of explanation? I could probably wing it except for the ceramic hands and faces.
