The Hills Are Alive With The Sound Of Turkeys!

Most of you probably decorated for Halloween like I did.  First, I Put up fall foliage, pumpkins, feathers, scarecrows, etc.  Then I added the ghosts, spiders, bats… yada yada yada. (I always think of Elaine on Seinfeld when I hear the yada thing!)  It is so easy to go by and grab the Halloween things, leaving the fall basics up and then put out the Pilgrims, Indians, Turkeys, Von Trapps - so forth and so on!

So, if it’s so easy, why am I still staring at a mantel covered with cobwebs???

I did manage to create one easy Thanksgiving display today.  Yes, this is a weak Met Monday offering, but it’s all I got!!!!

Before…

Then I added the Von Trapp singing children!!!

Louisa Von Trapp

Frederich Von Trapp

Kurt Von Trapp

Brigitta Von Trapp

Uh…Liesl Von Trapp???

Gretl Von Trapp

Almost, The Whole Singing Von Trapp Family.

Okay, Okay.  I made it all up!  I know there were five girls and two boys in the Von Trapp family.   But Liesl sounds boyish…sort of!!  And I really don’t know where Marta is!   I love a good story and these carolers didn’t have one!  Now they do!

Did you know that there were ten children in the real Von Trapp family?  Yep, Google knows everything!

These are the first “Thanksgiving Carolers” I have ever seen!  But you’ve got to love them!

metamorphosis monday

I bet there are lots of genuinely worthy “Metamorphosis Monday” posts at “Between Naps On The Porch”.  Let’s go check it out.

  2. Rhonda, At first I thought those kids were just carolers, and didn't realize they were the Von Trapps. Now I just feel silly for for being so gullible... Must say you are a creative story teller.
