Finally Fall

I am so glad that fall has finally arrived!
The house has been such a wreck since I started the guest room make-over. I couldn't think about decorating anything. But, most of the large projects are finished and I took time to clean up today. Now, I can decorate!
I had Al get the fall holiday boxes out and I ploughed through them with gusto. I found Halloween and Thanksgiving. Where is the fall box? You know, the leaf garlands and plain pumpkins, and mini hay bales??? Oh, great! They are MIA!
This wasn't going to stop me. It is officially fall and I am going to decorate something...somewhere!!!
I went on a "this can work for fall decorations" hunt.
And this is what I came up with.

A roasting pan + a barnwood frame + baby pinecone garland + 3 pumpkins + sheer green table cloth...

Stack 'em up and add an urn...

Pile on some stuff ...

Voila! One crazy "Blue Creek Home" fall arrangement

If nothing else, this thing is large!!!

It just kept growing... I couldn't stop myself!

I will look for the missing box tomorrow and I will also dismantle this monstrous pile of "fall".

What can I say? I had a ball doing it, so be gentle with your comments!!

While I was photographing the table, I spied some activity outside the window.

I loved seeing these fat birds splashing around in the bird bath.

This is digger - spying on the bathers.

A cute little gray guy getting up the nerve to dive in!

I thought this looked very Fallish!

A dogwood tree just starting to turn red

I can't grow squat, but this weed did great for me.

Now, let's go over to the "Fall Festival" party at "The DIY Show Off" to see what hostess Roeshel and the rest of the partiers are sharing this week.
Happy Fall, Everybody!!!

  1. Yes - the season is now upon us! Trees are just beginning to turn a bit -- a few leaves here and there -- but LOT's of acorns falling!

  2. Oh, I love your centerpiece. I am really partial to really large ones and they make great centerpieces for tablescapes. Not in real live, but for photography purposes. I love all of your pics. Hugs, Marty

  5. I thought your centerpiece was very pretty! I'll be glad when I can start to decorate again. With my son at that grab-everything-and-put-in-his-mouth stage or gab and throw... I probably won't have any pretty decorations for a while! One day though... one day...
