Fall Fever, Thrifty Finds, & A Sassy Lamp Shade Make-0ver
Welcome to my "Today's Thrifty Treasures". This weekly event is hosted by Rhoda at "Southern Hospitality".

This week, several of my thrifty finds reflect the case of "fall fever" that I have. I really am excited about cooler weather, earlier nightfall, holidays, and football.
Speaking of football...Al and I went to the Auburn/Louisiana Tech game last night and it was quite pleasant outdoors. We arrived at 3:30 p.m. and left around 10:00 p.m. That was a lot of football.
I expected to be a mess, but I barely broke a sweat!!! I LOVE IT!
***I might add that Jordan Hare Stadium was rockin'!***

Okay, on to my treasures and a "sweet" make-over.

Straw pumpkin from TJ Maxx- $5.00

Two wheat stalks, also from TJ Maxx - reduced to $3.00 each
I will put these in iron planters on the mantle

Straw Egg - thrift store find for $1.00
Yeah, I know, it's probably more Easter, but I will make it work in a fall arrangement.

These little floral plates are faded, but still lovely. They are thrift store purchases, too.
Wouldn't a cloche be nice on one of these?

Center detail...not bad for a quarter!
________________________________________________
Lace panel from TJ Maxx $5.99 each
I bought three of these. No idea how I am going to use them yet.
I just have a hard time passing up a good deal!!!

Aren't they pretty?
______________________________________________
This is a lot of yummy for $5.99!!!

They really do resemble vintage lace.

Next, join me for "Metamorphosis Monday". Visit Susan at "Between Naps on the Porch" for more inspiration.
Finally, I am linking up with Katie at "Along The Way With K + J". She is having a "Trash to Treasure" party.

If you hear a little thumping sound, it's me patting myself on the back for this one!!! Hey, I am usually pretty modest, BUT this was just about as clever as I have been in a while!!!
As soon as I saw this net body scrubber in the store, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it!
I wish all of my ideas came this easily!
___________________________________________
This is so easy - all you need is a lampshade and a body scrubby thing.
____________________________________________
A few little stiches and Voila!!! I imagine you could also use a spot of hot glue also.
I have had this little silver, sugar bowl lamp for a long time. I think this frilly shade dressed this little guy up nicely.

Details...Cute, no???

The powder room lamp gets a turn with the new shade.

This look is sweet too. I wasn't using this vintage blue lamp base. I think, with this sweet shade, it will have a place in the newly updated guest room.
The guest room make-over is coming soon - it's just taking a while.

Thanks for coming!!!
