I am pretty sure the whole point of Outdoor Wednesday is to share the beautiful outdoors. I look forward to seeing the incredible photographs of your heavily blooming flowers and shrubs from those blessed with green thumbs. I love all of the pictures of romantic garden benches, water fountains, birds and bees, outdoor weddings, picnics, your kids at play, etc.!! Then, there are those who post their exotic vacation destinations in pictures.
I am totally in awe of you guys...even a little jealous.
This week I have some great outdoor photographs of our yard and house.
Can you say hail damage???

Mother Nature has an ugly side as well as a beautiful side --
ReplyDeleteRhonda, I am so sorry you had so much damage. I know it is upsetting to see your home in disrepair due to a hail storm. Hope your home is back to it beauty real soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor Wednesday
Well, at least you have a new roof.. trying to find the bright side. April was a weird weather month for us too. We had a freak snow too. I'll bet the new roof looks great.
ReplyDeleteI also know what you mean about those vacation photos, I'd love to go visit the places we see. There are always so many wonderful vacation photos. Love them.
Have a great day,
Jenn
OUch!! Here's hoping you have a grundle of insurance.

Wow, that's quite a storm. We experienced a short hail storm here in CA last month, weird weather!
ReplyDeleteThat was some storm. I hope that no one was hurt. Buildings are easier to "fix" than people. I know it's awful to live through, but it will all eventually get done. I love the blue sky in your first photo. Have a wonderful day and enjoy the holiday weekend. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteOuch! Hope your roofs all better soon!
ReplyDeleteoh my that looked like a nasty storm, I too hope you get your roof sorted soon. Kathy.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nasty storm. Hope that the roofs get fixed soon.
ReplyDeleteWow!Now that is nasty! The house looks great in the glorious sunshine!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, that must have been a nasty one. But all's well now with the summer and all. I guess you'll be busy patching up those damages caused by it.
ReplyDeleteNow, should I still say Happy Outdoor Wednesday? :-)
Oooh! It has been a year for terrible storms.
ReplyDeleteWhat an extreme way to get great photos.
I love the one with the worker on the roof
almost in profile.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday.
That was an amazing storm!! Good to know you have your new roof!
ReplyDeleteHow frustrating for you! Its been kind of cloudy here the last couple days and I was irritated with it, but now my attitude has changed. I'm just thankful it's not storming! Thanks for the change in perspective.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your damage, we farm here in Idaho (famous potatoes) so we are always worried by hail storms. Outdoor Wednesday, with a twist, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWow that's a big project. Congrats on your new roof but sorry for all the hail damage!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those necessary things that cost a hunk of money and don't really show. However, I know you're happy to be having it DONE! Happy Outdoor Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda, I saw another Rhonda on the OW list and just had to drop by; there are not too many of us!
ReplyDeleteI saw on the news recently a storm with baseball-sized hail and thought that was ridiculous! Sorry for the damage you had with yours, but glad to see your roof is on the way to compete recovery.
Ouch, too bad about the hail damage. On the other hand, it looks like the repair guys had nice weather to work in :)
ReplyDeleteChristi

ReplyDeleteWow ... that must have been some storm! We get storms here in MA, but I have never seen that kind of damage from hail!
ReplyDeleteJane
Wow! I've only seen hail about 5 times in my whole life, and nothing as big as that!
ReplyDeleteWe have had large hail here too. I hope your new roof is complete and you can have a quiet home again soon.
ReplyDeleteKristine
Hi Rhonda, I am so sorry about this. We know what this feels like....having had this happen to us several years back.
ReplyDeleteHope everything goes well. Thanks for your visit to Bella Vista. It is lovely to meet you.

I am smiling as we just put on a roof in April and I posted about it when I first started my blog. The week we put the roof onto the house it rained cats and dogs but it seemed more like cows and cars:) It was the most rain this part of SC had received in one week in April in History. We did not have leaks before but they took off the old roof and the next day when they were suppose to put on the new shingles it rained for days straight. Don't even ask the mess inside our house. I can laugh now but I was sure crying then:) I bet your house looks so pretty with your new roof.
ReplyDeleteJoyce
Now that is what you call hail?!?!? Glad to see your new roof is getting on before you get anymore storms. We had some pretty hard rain and thunderstorms yesterday, but no hail, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Crystal
What is it about hail? We stand watching as it falls- wondering how long it will last, the noise, the size... Then we come to realize the damage it could cause-to vehicles, to homes like yours, to family farms... We have had hail several times in the last month but luckily no damage.
ReplyDeleteOh I had to come back and say that I forgot about the banging..glad you could run away today. I found all sorts of things in my attic when they were done so check your attic when they are finished for slivers of wood maybe but wear shoes up there:)
ReplyDeleteJoyce
Good to know that you are safe and sound. Glad that you have a new roof. What a job!
