Last week I posted a photo of this little stool with it's velvet leopard print upholstery. I have lived with it this way since I got it - probably 15 years ago! It certainly is time for a new outfit for this guy. I finally got around to recovering it this weekend, and just in time for Metamorphosis Monday @ http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/
Before
Close-up of corner - whoops, looks like the wood needs a face lift too!
After -An improvement, don't you think?

Wow! How simple but what a significant and lovely change--I'd say an improvement for sure. Well done!

That's a GREAT transformation. The lighter fabric really shows up well.
ReplyDeletePS: I love the wall color and faux finish(?) you have on it. Did you use a glaze?
Hi Rhonda...turned out beautifully...you did such a neat job on those corners, too! I love it tucked under the table with the books! :-) Welcome to Met Monday...so glad you joined in this week! Susan

Your footstool looks great. It just pops out now with the lighter upholstery. I also like the little table it's tucked underneath. Great job!

They both look good, but I really liked the before with the dark fabric.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog about my last comment. It is so cool that it is a slip cover so that you can change it out for the different seasons. They both look really good.
