Good Friday

 Isaiah 53:5

But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
 the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.

I painfully made some wreaths this Easter using briars that I gathered
from the woods next to our house. It makes me cringe to imagine
the pain that Jesus endured from wearing a crown of thorns.
And, oh my,
so much more suffering and agony was to come that day.

This sweet little bible arrived this week.
It has a hard cover that resembles mother of pearl
and is full of lovely verses and pictures.

 Copyrighted in 1936

I made plenty of room for the cross on our Easter table today

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son,
that whosoever believe this in Him, should not perish,
but have everlasting life

Please have a blessed Good Friday and let's pause and think
of the pain and suffering that Jesus suffered for you and me
so that we could have everlasting life. Amen?

Rhonda
