Plain to Pretty Transformations

I have been busy painting and sewing some things that I will be dividing between my Etsy store and my booth at Old Banks Antiques.

I really enjoy the painting process and sewing...it makes me happy!!!

Much better than it's former gold self

I used vintage linen behind this adorable 'mother and child'
the vintage frame got my finish of the week like all the other things!!

A fresh coat of shabby really improved this ceramic piece

A row of little chubby birds surrounded by French script
was transferred  to cotton trimmed with vintage lace
to make a sweet pillow case
Here is the final floral arrangement in the
cute wall pocket that I posted earlier this week.

I added some hand dyed, crinkled pink and green ribbon,
a little curved branch twisted with grape vine at the top,
and some baby's breath and moss.

  12. I collect alot of those gaudy gold wall pockets & sconces. You have given me a great idea to paint them to tone them done a tad. The crown reminds me of the saying "Queens never make bargains". Very nice.

    Take good care,

    Karen
