I recently did a little rearranging in our dining room which is to the right of the foyer. This vignette table is at the far end of the room.
This year I am mixing non-Christmas items in with the decorations
I have had this black Oriental serving tray for 20+ years
It has been tucked away upstairs
I used a pair of cream cherubs on the ends of the tray
They have celebrated many Christmas’ with us
The beautiful crown platter is from
the Marketplace for Laurie Anna’s Vintage Home – a very lucky giveaway win!
More of my pink bottle brush trees are lined up like toy soldiers.
A close up of the cute little mouse in the vintage arrangement that I bought last week for $3.00
It was in a plastic bowl so I sat it in a pretty white container
One can’t have too many old bottles or seashells
Glass garland and a mercury glass church sit next to them on a vintage silver tray
I dressed up the bottles with vintage glass doorknobs,
old drawer pulls and tiny silver balls that
Alex transformed into faux mercury glass
See tutorial here.
(***not all silver balls work – she got these at Kroger)
Cropped this ‘room’ view photo because “real life”
happened to the dining table surface!!!
P.S. If I am fortunate enough to win these stunning Aidan Gray candlesticks, I will make room for them in my DR vignette. You should check it out for yourself at Morning T’s beautiful blog…(even if it does lessen my chance to win!)
Rhonda
