Treasures and Make-Overs

On Friday, I spent several hours in thrift stores scouting out pretty things for my booth at Old Bank Antiques.  I did return to the store that I rushed through because of my clock being off.  I had plenty of time to sift through everything this time and  I found several pretties.

I also ordered some bottle brush trees and did a mini make over on them.  I will be using them here for Christmas.

I love this old bowl

Ya’ll know how I feel about crazing and crackling on china

Silver-plate piece with spoon which definitely isn’t original

I’m not sure if I will add baubles and beads or just leave them plain.

  11. I would have picked up the very same things if I had been there. I love old silver, old dishes and milk glass. I've never seen bottle brush trees, yet.

  12. Great idea!! Some small and delicate would look great as an ornament on them, but then again they look great plain!
