First, I want to thank God that our Tia Carolina {Aunt Caroline}as we have been calling her, has arrived safely back in the USA! She has been studying with the Auburn University Spanish group in Costa Rica for the last five weeks.
There were a few scary things that happened while she was there and it wasn’t zip lining, upside down through the rain forest either. She loved that part!!!
I am going to share a lot of her beautiful photographs and some stories soon.
I can’t wait for G-Man and her boyfriend Ryan (aka Piney) to deliver her to our front door in the early a.m. hours. Alex and I are going to wait up and decorate the house with banners and balloons!
I took a break mid-week and went to a couple of my favorite local treasure hunting places.
I found some really pretty things. I can’t decide which I like the best.
I think my favorite is this adorable silver plate spoon caddy bowl thing???
UPDATE: I just found out it’s a sugar bowl/spoon holder.
I tested the fit with some of my small spoons.
I’m in love with the little bird on the tippy top. Too cute!
I couldn’t believe I found these vintage wall lamps.
The booth was closing and everything was 50% off.
They were way up high on an out-of-reach shelf.
I thought they were table lamps until the clerk climbed up and handed them to me.
I was thrilled, but a little confused about the general build of these things.
I have never seen wall lamps like these.
Love them, but I have no place for them, so they may go to my Etsy store.
I will be listing this sweet thing at the shop.
I sold one identical to her a couple of months ago.
I hope you guys found wonderful treasures this week too so you can join the parties at:
{Sorry for the lousy photographs. The settings are messed up and I can’t find the manual!}

What a great find with that spoon holder/sugar bowl. I think I saw someone else who had found one that was missing the lid. The lamps are beautiful. Thanks for sharing your treasure hunt items.
