Alexandra, my oldest daughter who lives in Florida, has always been a great cook. When she was only four years old, she would put a hair net on her little head, and insist that she was a “cooker woman”, aka lunchroom lady!!!! Every year, her Christmas list would include something associated with the kitchen and cooking.
So, it is no surprise that she turned out to be quite the chef!! She can out cook and out bake me!! In fact, she loves nothing more than calling her dad (G-Man) a couple of times a week to inquire what he is having for dinner. He gives his standard “joke” reply of “probably hot dogs!!!” After they both chuckle, at my expense, she starts her long, elaborate list of dishes that she is going to cook up for herself!!!! They thinks it’s hilarious. Me? Not so much!!
She recently had a friend ask her to bake a birthday cake for her son’s party. She jumped at the chance. The friend paid for the ingredients and Alex just told them it was her birthday present to him.
I think she was a bit hesitant at first. After all, she had never made a Sponge Bob cake!! Obviously, her worries were unwarranted, as the cake turned out just great!!!
See, I told ya!!
Great job, Cooker Woman!!!! Now, you need to start charging!!!
I can’t wait to eat the pecan pies that you promised to make for Thanksgiving!!
Let’s go over to “A Soft Place To Land” for the DIY party and see what everybody else is up too!!!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE SPONGE BOB. Until our Miss K was born I thought it was the STUPIDEST thing I'd ever heard of. Worse than Smurfs. Now I'm rolling on the floor when she comes over and I can't wait to watch the shows with her.
Fabulous cake! I'd have paid big bucks for that!
